What was Higher Ground?

Established in 2002 as Hernando's one & only in-house bean roaster and coffee shop where we served the community Gourmet Coffee and Baked Goods daily. 

With a Faith & Family Focus, our seats were always filled with coffee & community lovers alike! We would host live music, community group events, church gatherings, business meetings, and much much more.

From inception onward, Higher Ground quickly became a forum for the community to connect including all walks of life you would see in a town with a population of >9,000, where the young & old, rich & poor, lost & found, could connect over a cup of the best coffee around! The Glory Days.  

What Happened?

Due to the nature of the economy during 2009, and "The Great Recession," we unfortunately had to close the doors of the two Higher Ground Locations we had at that time.

We quickly understood that the community missed our coffee, so we decided to spin out the business to strictly become coffee roasters and continue delivering the freshest coffee around to our customers whether that be by mail, by car, or at the local Hernando Farmers Market where we began serving our customers in 2012.

Although we have not had a storefront since 2009, our coffee expertise has continued to draw a phenomenal customer base who are loyal to our business model, our familial feel, and the freshest coffee that you can get your hands on!
